About Us
We are a boutique studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn. We practice and teach Pilates in a contemporary style, mixing classic choreography with new explorations. We infuse our sessions with yoga, breathing, meditation, and functional strength training, according to the goals of each student.
We are excited to work with athletes, dancers, moms and dads, folks with disc herniations, rotator cuff injuries, hip replacements, Parkinson’s Disorder, scoliosis, osteoporosis, arthritis, anxiety, and depression. We are always studying and practicing to bring the best back to our clients, and we can’t wait to move with you!

Sarah Deming

Sarah is a writer and Golden Gloves champion with over 25 years’ teaching experience. She coached and tutored for a decade at NYC Cops and Kids Boxing, and now teaches at American Ballet Theatre’s school for young dancers. Sarah began Pilates with Clarice Marshall to recover from overuse injuries exacerbated by scoliosis and fell in love with the pain reduction and deep core strengthening. She is a proud kidney donor and caregiver to her mother.
Sarah’s sessions are a playful flow of Pilates and functional strength training to leave you aligned and energized. She loves working with athletes of all ages, artists, teachers, trauma survivors, brand new beginners, folks recovering from surgery/injury, and anyone curious about their body’s inner wisdom.

Lesley is a dancer and educator with over 15 years’ experience helping movers of all ages reach their full potential. She toured internationally with the Mark Morris Dance Group, and discovered Pilates with Clarice Marshall to strengthen and rehab injury. She teaches at American Ballet Theatre’s JKO School and the renowned Dance for PD at Mark Morris Dance Center. As a mother of two, Lesley brings a deep understanding of how movement supports us all, helping students feel more confident and at home in their bodies.
Lesley’s sessions create an empowering space for you to connect to your body’s strength and rhythm. She loves working with dancers of all ages, runners, new and expectant parents, brand new beginners, seniors, those affected by PD and other neurological conditions, and anyone in search of joyful, healing movement.
